MUST-SEES

Site historique maritime de la Point-au-Père (17 km from Camping Rimouski). Climb aboard the ONONDAGA submarine and dive into this fascinating world with an audio-guided visit. The site historique presents the history of the Empress of Ireland and also includes the visit of one of the highest lighthouse in Canada. ( 2h30-3h to visit)


Bic National Park (8km from Camping Rimouski)  Costal park: small islands, reefs and cliffs sculpted by the sea. You can observe grey and common seals among other things. In the summer:Discovery activities, hiking, bike rides (bike rentals available) guided hikes, minibus shuttles to the pic Champlain and kayak excursions.(Visit min.1/2 day)


Canyon des Portes de l’Enfer  “Hell’s gate canyon”(35 km from Camping Rimouski) Network of easy to intermedite trails of 1 to 14 km lead to stunning paroramic view & 63ft high suspendedbridge!Innovative activities like Les Portes d’Oniria, the enchanted trail, the geocaching trail : Rallye of the senses and the lighting of the Grand Sault waterfall in the evening. (Visit ≅ 3h)


Reford Garden (48km from Camping Rimouski).Voted one of the wonders of Québec and ranked among Canada’s premier garden destinations. The gardens offer floral displays (over 3000 species), art in the gardens, exhibitions, culinary experiences and the innovative installations of the International Garden Festival. (visit 2h +)


FUN & FREE

Beach Rocher Blanc: (2km from Camping Rimouski): Lovely beach with public parking and access to 27 km of trails “Sentiers du Littoral”. Lovely place to watch sunset. Beware, the water is always very cold! 

Cycling path :Directly in front of the campground. Reach downtown Rimouski in only 30 minutes by bicycle. Stop for icecream while you are there!
Parc Beauséjour
(8km from the Camping)  Superb park on the shore of Rimouski river Water games, cycling path, walking trails, musical pique nic and many free shows!


Downtown Rimouski (5 minutes away): Discover this attractive and dynamic university town. Stroll or cycle it’s amazing boardwalk along the St-Lawrence river. You can even fish! Local boutiques, great restaurants, farmer’s market and host to many events thorough the season!
